No money, no cry

If there were no such thing as money and barter/trade (eg. silver or gold) and everything was accessible.. free..provided for. And there were no such thing as rich or poor, but there would be some sort of ” limit” for things, on a monthly basis..

  1. would you still “volunteer” an occupation, study for life or just bum around?
  2. do you think the world would be a happier and peaceful place without money? why?
  3. where would be your top 3 places you would fly off to, to stay for free?
  4. what if you could only bail a person out of jail by replacing yourself (a life for a life); would you?
  5. a free world; one without money.. we have lots of these options. choose one or each that applies to you.

would you:
a) hoard or collect things
b) adopt lots of kids
c) adopt lots of pets
d) eat, eat and eat lots
e) frequent the gym
f) go to a slimming center
g) get massages everyday
h) endless long-distance calls
i) make lots of babies
j) make art-things and give away
k) party/clubbing everyday
l) travel alot
m) volunteer a few occupations to pass my time
n) go insane and check into a mental institute
o) kill myself: what kind of world is this?
p) be a pastor or a nun
q) none of the above, i’d live without temptations!

  2. We already tried that - it was called communism. Everyone was forced to work because there was no more incentive for work. The ruling class controlled everything on the basis of loyalty and had complete power. People could not travel anywhere.

So no, it wouldn’t be a free or happy society. It would be very, very bad.

  4. Hummm, free education, now who could pass that up? The world would still be the same…with not money, barter/trade….still would be alot of hungry people and lots of bored addits, and this would mean that no man would own any land, so lots of fighting over that, where would you put your garden to grow your food? Cant depend on others not stealing it? Fly, where would the fuel come from? This is not something that people like doing! And if you are only volunteering, well I dont thank they would choose something where they expose theirselves to chemical death, Do YOU? But if I could go anywhere, I would fly to the moon, just to see what it looks like up close. Then to Greece and on to San Diego CA. staying there I hope! Depends on what they did and who it was…
    H. J. I. M. > This is really reaching, so many things would be wrong, no place to hide away, not a moments peace. I dont think I like this world of yours! lol.

  5. That description is many peoples’ idea of heaven. I’ve thought that if I had to do what ever I wanted I would spend a bunch of my time playing games. thats right, not trying to find the answer to lifes mysteries. I’d be at play.

  6. If you dont work because you love your job, you are in the wrong job; the only reason for study is a love of knowledge.
Money is only a token for posessions. The abolition of money would not abolish greed
Spent my life travelling the world. I’ll stay here in the south of France.
If it would serve a purpose to bail someone out but not as a romantic gesture
    i) j) but above all meet and listen to as many people as possible and try to understand their view of the world

  7. Now this is not a very new concept….i’ m sure we’ve all wondered in our desperate moments about a situation like that…..i guess my answer would be that where there are PEOPLE you would never have a perfect world. Because we all have our own different worlds.
